Description(Munich: J. G. Cotta'schen Buchhandlung [about 1831]) Folio; 10 pp., plus 16 plates; contemporary blind- and gilt-stamped brown morocco, marbled paper boards.
Line reproductions of mural paintings. This volume commemorates the fresco cycles by various artists commissioned by Ludwig I of Bavaria in the 1820s for the newly-constructed sculpture gallery, the Glyptothek, in Munich, plus the Munich Residenz.
Though the title page specifies fifteen plates, there is another, not numbered in the text, which is a plan of the ceiling frescoes in the Trojan Room of the Glyptothek. The plates were published from 1828 to 1831.
