DescriptionThis photolithograph reproduces an 1860 aerial view of Boston, taken by James Wallace Black from the balloon "Queen of the Air." Black's photos, rather poetically titled "Boston, as the Eagle and the Wild Goose See It" were the first aerial photographs taken in the United States.
