DescriptionThe woodcuts in this exhibition were designed by the artists listed but the blocks were usually cut by specialized craftsmen or cutters (formschneider). Jost de Negker, whose monogram appears at the lower left of this print, was a well-known cutter of woodblocks from the Netherlands who was active in Augsburg.
