DescriptionHead and proper right shoulder of a redish clay figurine of Harpokrates, who holds a finger to his mouth and wears a wreath with rays and lotus buds(?). On the back of the head is a rudimentarily carved shell. It is hollow. Traces of white ground and black paint remain.
ProvenanceFrom Behnesa. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund by the government of Egypt; given to the MFA by the Egypt Exploration Fund.
