DescriptionThis lid is decorated with two incised abstract renderings of a profile saurian head. Its cylindrical knob is unusually tall (5 cm) and wide (5.1 cm). One side and the underside rim of the lid are covered with calcium carbonate inclusions from the vessel's burial environment. See 1972.1172b for the vessel's tetrapod base.
