(Accession Date: March 9, 1944)

[1] Eugene Bernat was an expert restorer and consultant in the carte of tapestries and was associated with the MFA from 1905-1940; his three sons, Eugene, Paul, and George A. were frequent donors to the MFA. It is not clear whether Eugene Bernat is father or son.
