Fable illustrations. According to the Inventaire [Brend'amour], these illustrations [first?] appeared in a Tours edition by Mame in 1864. There are also earlier editions of engraved illustrations after Grandville published by Fournier and Furne in Paris in the 1830s and 40s (see Brivois).
