Later edition; an earlier one published by Dodd, Mead in 1880. The illustration after Homer is on p. 201; it had appeared previously in Scribner's Monthly, April 1880, p. 806. Several of the plates were produced by the Photo-Engraving Company, and the American Photo-Engraving Company.
