[2] Included in the Exhibition of Old Masters from the Collection of the Ehrich Galleries (Doll and Richards, Boston, January 10 - 22, 1913), cat. no. 4, as "The Meyer Family" by Barthel Bruyn, and said to have been acquired in Europe the previous summer. Blakelsee stated that the painting was "purchased by me from Ehrich Gallery."
