In bound copy of posthumous first edition (1863), with letters and numbers (Harris III, 1, a), but before corrections in some of the titles (Plates 9, 32,33, 34, 35, 36, 39, 47). Made in the workshop of Laurenciano Potenciano for the Real Academia de San Fernando, Madrid, completed March, 1863.
Volume bound in brown morocco, with gold letters on spine: "GOYA/ LOS DESASTRES/ DE LA/ GUERRA" and below, "MADRID/ 1863". Volume: 25.5 x 36.5 x 3 cm. (10 1/4 x 14 1/2 x 1 1/8 in.).
The sheets are gold tipped.
There is a two page biographical introduction.
