DescriptionLarge, six-legged stepped sideboard; lower tier consists of central section of two drawers flanking a central blind drawer, above an arched opening with triangular sections at each side, flanked by sections housing a drawer above a cupboard; upper tier is slightly recessed and has a drawer at each side flanking an arched recess at center; lower legs are reeded; upper section separated by turnings with multiple ring-turned columns; legs and columns of mahogany; drawer fronts of bird's-eye maple veneer; blind drawer and center section of recessed area above, veneered with mahogany; brasses replaced.
ProvenanceGuy Bush, a dealer, in the 1980s or 1990s; collected by Nathaniel T. Dexter, Boston, Massachusetts, and bequeathed to the Museum in 2000.
