DescriptionWhite silk satin embroidered with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Figures stand beneath oak tree with snake wound around its trunk created in raised embroidery. Figures surrounded by animals including kingfisher, stag, camel, donkey, goat and lamb. Background of picture speckled with small loops of metallic coil. Framed with 18th century frame encased in 20th century gilt frame. Condition: good, some small slits in satin, some coil loops missing, some metallic yarns detached, black stain at Adam's left shoulder.
