DescriptionCircular medal of Pope Pius IX (1792-1878), commemorating the construction of a new hosiptal for the poor.

Obverse: Profile bust of Pius IX looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "PIVS·IX·PONT·MAX·AN·XXX·" and on bust ["BIANCHI"].

Reverse: View of a plaza with a fountain at proper left and a building in back; inscribed in exergue "PAVPERVM·COMMODITATI/AEDES·A·SOLO/ENSTRVCTAE/[ ]·BIANCH·F·".
