Marks Struck under bases with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1742-3), and with maker's mark of Phillips Garden.
InscriptionsEach numbered under the bases 1 through 4, and with scratch weights. Each also pricked with the initials GDW of George D. Widener.
ProvenanceGeorge D. Widener, Philadelphia (b. 1861 - d. 1912); after his death by descent to a "Florida Collector"; April 29, 1986, sold by a "Florida Collecter" at Christie's, New York, lot 178.
