DescriptionElongated octagonal body on stepped base. The sides are cast and chased with panels of diaperwork enclosing flowerheads. Front and back have an applied fish-scale and laurel cartouche below an earl's coronet and engraved with an earl's armorials. Two reeded loop handles with double acanthus and baluster heads. The interior fitted with a removable platform pierced with foliate scrolls.

Struck under base with hallmarks (lion's head erased, Britannia, date letter for 1718-19 and with maker's mark of David Willaume (Grimwade 3194).
InscriptionsThe inscription under the base reads: "Lord Camden was Babtized with water that was put into this July ye 12 1740 at Blackheath"
