DescriptionOf slightly tapering form on spreading molded foot, with applied band around the lower body, the handle extending from cut-card decoration. Slightly domed top with scalloped lip, flange with scribed rings, scrolled thumbpieces and baluster-shaped finial rising from cut-card foliage.
Marks Struck on side by handle with hallmarks (lion's head erased, Britannia, date letter for 1699-1700) and with maker's mark "DI" (Grimwade 476) of Isaac Dighton; the cover with maker's mark struck four times by thumbpiece, the handle with maker's mark struck once.
