DescriptionOne of a pair (with 2001.50.2). Oval body on oval foot. With applied alternating straps of foliate scrlls and shells. Scroll handle. Engraved under the lip with a crest and viscount's coronet.
Marks
Struck under base with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1731-32) and with maker's mark of George Wickes.
InscriptionsThe crest and coronet appear to be those of a Viscount Combermere, a title created in 1827.
