Description(Antwerp: widow and sons of Jan Moretus, 1612) Quarto; 68 leaves; contemporary limp vellum (beige phase box).
Illustrations of ancient medallic portraits within decorative borders. Later edition of work first published by Plantin in 1572. The attribution of design and engraving/etching of the plates is unclear; the current information has been taken from the Amsterdam ornament print catalogue.
The wrong illustrations were printed originally on fol. I2 and I4; single impressions of the correct ones have been pasted on the leaves. Folio N1 (illus. of Isis) is lacking in this copy.
