Description(Paris: L'Ymagier, 1894) Quarto; [2 ff.] 67 pp.; marbled paper boards, original publisher's beige paper wrappers bound in (cream-colored cardboard folder).
Illustrated journal published from October 1894 to December 1896; MFA owns seven issues, of eight total (lacking the Dec. 1896 issue). De Gourmont and Jarry were the editors and contributed many texts. This first issue of the regular edition contains photoreproductions of drawings after Filiger, de Gourmont, and Bernard, along with two "Image d'Epinal" woodcuts, one by Georgin. The text is also illustrated with reproductions of various woodcuts, some printed from original blocks. De Gourmont and Jarry were the editors and contributed many texts.
