Description(Paris: [by the artist] 1924) Folio; accordion-fold set of prints, plus accompanying booklet; original artist's woodcut cardboard wrappers (half tan cloth, greenish cardboard folder).
Copy no. 148 (numbered and signed by artist). Seven woodcuts and title plate printed on one sheet of thin tan modern laid paper; accordion pleated into leaves and enclosed in an artist-designed cardboard cover with woodcut title. Individual woodcut titles, reading from right to left; Title plate; 1. ILLUSIE (illusion); 2. SPEELSELS (playful); 3. MASKERS (masks); 4. NATUR (nature); 5. DIK-DUN (thick and tim); 6. WYSDOM (wisdom); 7. EINDKEER (end). Image (each block): 10.75 x 6 in.; (274 x 153mm.)
