DescriptionCircular medal of Niccolò Piccinino (1386-1444), condottierre. Pierced at top.
Obverse: Bust of Niccolò Piccinino looking to proper right, wearing a tall, flat-top hat and armor; no inscription at edge and no armorer's mark on shoulder piece.
Reverse: A winged griffin looking to proper right, suckling two infants; inscribed at proper right "BRACCIVS", below and at proper left "PISANI·P·OPVS·N·PICININVS", and on griffin"s collar "PERVSIA".
