DescriptionLith de G. Engelmann is in the lower right
A couple, in a large canopy bead, has been awakened by two mice who have appeared on the floor at the foot of the bed to the left. The lady has turned toward the foot of the bed and is reaching toward the chair that holds her clothes. The gentleman, still in bed, has his arm reaching toward her.
On the floor near the bed is a pair of shoes.
To the left, behind the chair with the lady's clothes, is a fireplace with a vase on its mantel. A framed picture hangs above the mantel.
