DescriptionSociety of the Sisters of Bethany. Black silk damask with metallic thread couched initials "ihu" and "mry". Sides of green damask, probably silk. Lined with white linen. Edged with twisted black silk and gold metallic thread cord. Black silk and gold trimmed tassels at corners. Condition: good; slight wear at corners. Given to the Society of Saint John the Evangelist in 1935-1940 in memory of the Rev. Andrew Chalmers Wilson. See Notes on the Collection.
