DescriptionSociety of the Sisters of Bethany. Gold ground; appliqués of polychrome embroidery. Left to right: ship, fortress, fleur de lys, MR, star, covered vessal and castle. Embroidery and silver and gold metallic thread couching. Fringed. Attached to white linen altar cloth. Condition: good; wear along upper center edge. Given to the Society of Saint John the Evangelist in memory of the Rev. Andrew Chalmers Wilson. See Notes on the Collection.
