Illustrated book with 87 prints (various techniques) based on drawings made after photographs by Adrien Tournachon (Nadar jeune).
The drawings were transferred to a metal plate using heliography, an early photomechanical technique. The plates were then worked on by hand in a variety of engraving methods (soft-ground etching, mezzo tint, aquatint, etc.).
