By 1954 (?), Philip Hofer (b. 1898–d. 1984) and his wife, Frances L. Hofer (b. 1908–d. 1978) Cambridge, MA; June 12, 1974, sold by Philip and Frances Hofer, through R. M. Light (dealer), Boston, to the MFA [see note 2]. (Accession Date: June 12, 1974)
