DescriptionLarge family in drawing room; at left sits youth reading book with "Winter Piece" written across the open page. Standing lady with plumed hat holds parrot beneath a cage to the right. Large painting of horse on the center wall. Ink framing lines are apparent along the left and bottom sides. All four corners have been cut, creating an octogon shaped paper.

Inscribed at bottom, "The Winter Piece" and "M B" in ink. In graphite, "rown" is annotated after the "M B". The beginning of another letter in ink is visible after the graphite "rown" however, it is cut off at the corner making it unidentifiable.
