DescriptionCircular coin, 2 ducats, of Pope Leo X (1513-1521). 90 degree turn and plain edge. Beaded rim on both faces.

Obverse: Profile bust of Leo X looking to proper right, bald on top and wearing a floral decorated collar and a medal; inscribed at edge in beaded band "LEO·X·PONTIFEX·MAXIMVS".

Reverse: The three magi, each crowned, riding a horse, and presenting their gift in their right hands while looking up to star at proper right, Fugger family mint mark below (trident and circle); inscribed at edge in beaded band "·LVX·VERA IN. TENEBRIS LVCET" and in exergue "·ROMA·" over arms.
