DescriptionMan's waistcoat of silk brocade with background striped vertically in bands of varying widths alternately yellow taffeta and white satin, over wide bands small sprays of roses and other blossoms brocaded with green, purple, red, and white silks; roll back collar, single slash pocket on each front, small self buttons; back removed except for small yoke section at back of neck to which three half snaps have been sewn, two pieces of elastic sewn to sides of fronts extending across back; in back of neck lining; "Sargent" written in ink
