Obverse: Half-length, profile bust of Maximilian, looking to proper right, wearing a crown and armor and holding a scepter in his right hand and sword in his left; inscribed at the edge in band "MAXIMILIANVS DEI GRA ROMANOR REX SEMPER AVGVSTVS".

Reverse: Five shields; inscribed at the edge in beaded band "XPIA REGNOR REX HERS QZ ARCHIDVX AVSTRE PLVRIMAR DVX ET DO".
