DescriptionStucco plaque of a decorative floral relief. The design is of an hexagonal band of overlapping hearts, enclosing one half rosette surrounded by a border of circles. There is also a border of alternating oblique lines. The plaque is done in high raised relief. It is fragmentary, and broken. It is not backed with plaster.
Provenance1936, excavated at Rayy (Chal Turkhan, in present-day Iran), by the University Museum-M.F.A. Persian Expedition; 1939, assigned to the MFA as part of the division of excavated objects. (Accession Date: January 12, 1939)
