Description(Paris: A Lahure, Rouveyre & Blond; 1883) Quarto; [4 ff.] 193 pp. [2 ff.]; original publisher's pictorial paper wrappers (cream-colored phase box).

Literary illustrations. First edition, with illustrations after watercolors by Poirson, "engraved" by Gillot. As Lahure is credited with printing the "chromotypographies," it is assumed that the "engravings" are in essence photomechanically produced. The edition is noted as "tirage à petit nombre" (edition in small number).
