Description(Amsterdam: N. Etienne Lucas, 1721) Octavo, two vols.; [v. 1] 126 leaves, [v. 2] 142 leaves; modern gilt-stamped brown calf.
Allegorical frontispiece; illustrations to La Fontaine's tales. Later Amsterdam edition copied from 1685 edition, the first illustrated by de Hooghe. These illustrations are copied from those, with the addition of several (vol. 2, pp. 240-46) after de Hooghe by Jonckman. A 1709 edition with the same plates was published by Pierre Brunel, thus explaining the imprint on the frontispiece.
