ProvenanceGénéral Villeret, from whose quarters on a French ship this volume was recovered by Lieutenant Bone, a British officer near Martinique, in February 1809 (inscription on preliminary leaf), by whom presented to surgeon [Andlum?] on board H.M.S. Intrepid, March 1809; acquired in 1914 by William A. Sargent, Boston (1858-1936), by whom bequeathed to MFA, November 17, 1937.
