Description(Paris: Prault, 1782) Quarto; 7 leaves, plus engraved title and 70 plates; modern gilt-stamped green morocco, faded to brown on spine (Riviere & Son).
First issued privately by the Marquise, according to Cohen-de Ricci, and consisted of the title, calligraphic table of contents, and 52 plates. Then it appeared about 1775 with title and 62 plates, before the present edition, including a letterpress "avant-propos" and explanations of the 69 plates included, printed by Prault and dated 1782. This copy adds at the end the illustration to the Corneille play Rodogune, designed by Boucher, etched by Pompadour, and "retouched" by Cochin.
