Illustrations to Richardson's novel.

Vols. 1-2 are the sixth edition; vols. 3-4 are with imprint "The Third Edition" (though published the same year). Fifteen of the plates are engraved by Gravelot after his own designs; the rest are after drawings by Hayman. The British Museum owns six of Gravelot's drawings for this edition; the Houghton Library owns four.A French edition was published by Osborn in the same year. There are advertisements by Osborn and Rivington bound at the end of vols. 2 and 4.

The plate for vol. 3, p. 11, is mistakenly bound in vol. 2, p. 2.
