Description(New York: The Grolier Club, 1927) 31.9 cm; [3 ff.] xxiii, 208 pp. [1 f.]; original publisher's half gilt-stamped vellum, yellow-brown decorated pastepaper boards (publisher's tan slipcase).
One of an edition of 390 copies on antique wove rag paper published by the Grolier Club; there were also 7 copies on larger hand-made paper. This edition does not have a true photographic facsimile of the original 1529 Paris edition of this title. The text has been translated and typeset by Rogers, who also "redrew" the original woodcuts "to reproduce the originals more accurately" (quote from the original prospectus, a copy of which is laid into this copy). The text is set in Rogers's Centaur type. He also designed the original pastepaper binding.
MFA owns another copy (PDP: 37.2551)
