DescriptionCircular medal with hanging loop and ring, shaped as a wreath.

Obverse: Seated woman wearing a helmet at center, extending crown with proper right hand and holding a palm leaf with left, a pedestal is placed at proper left; inscribed at edge "POUR LA GLOIRE, LA SCIENCE ET LA PATRIE" and in exergue "1830".

Reverse: Inscribed at edge "ASSOCIATION POLYTECHNIQUE" and "COURS GRATUITS" and in wreath "MLLE MORISET/MADELEINE/1880-81" [first two lines in italics].
