DescriptionCircular medal of Napoléon, emperor of France, commemorating the battle of Friedland.
Obverse: Profile bust of Napoléon looking to proper left, wearing laureate wreath; inscribed at edge "NAPOLEON EMP.ET ROI." and under bust "ANDRIEU F./DENON DIRT.".
Reverse: Nude, helmeted Mars standing at center and sheathing a sword with fallen men at his feet, upside down torch at proper right and a laurel branch at proper left; inscribed at proper left "GALLE F" and in exergue "BATAILLE DE FRIEDLAND/XIV JUIN MDCCCVII".
