Inscribed on the print is a couplet from a Chinese poem by Bai Juyi (772-846), describing the pleasure of a drinking party with friends under flowering trees:
"Under the blossoms, the scene was so beautiful that we forgot about going home/ with the wine keg at hand, it was the spring wind that encouraged intoxication."
