DescriptionThe print was altered by the removal of the real signature and the substitution of a false Sharaku signature, which also includes the censor's seal and a false publisher's mark for Tsutaya Jûzaburô, Sharaku's publisher. The original publisher's mark, as seen on the impression illustrated by Maybon, was that of Tsuruya Kiemon.
