DescriptionThe play was produced in 1701 and 1706; this print was probably made for the 1706 production. For the program book of the 1701 production, see 2006.1813. The MFA also has a picture scroll in two handscrolls (11.6385 and 11.6389) and a painted book of the Nara ehon type (11.6627) depicting the same story.
