DescriptionCircular medal of Charles X (1757-1836), king of France, commemorating his coronation.

Obverse: Profile bust of Charles X looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "CAROLVS X REX CHRISTIANISSIMVS" and under bust "GAYRARD F.".

Reverse: King kneeling at proper left, wearing fur robe and receiving a blessing from a bishop seated at proper right with a dove above and four men in military dress at behind at proper left and three men in ecclesiastics behind at proper right and a crown and scepters laying on pedestal in proper right; inscribed above "REX·COELESTI·OLEO·VNCTVS", below "GAYRARD F.", and in exergue "REMIS·XXIX·DIE·MAII·/M·DCCC·XXV".
