DescriptionManchu woman's domestic vest (majia) of blue silk damask with woven design of clouds and auspicious symbols and trimmed with a white silk satin border with design flowers, endless knots and scrolling tendrils embroidered in various shades of blue silk and couched with gold-wrapped thread; edged with black silk satin and pink floral silk ribbon; round gold metal floral buttons and black satin loops at neck and side opening; lined with salmon-pink plain-weave silk.
