DescriptionWoman's semi-formal court robe (jifu) in orange silk twill ground embroidered with polychrome silk and gold-metallic thread in satin stitch and couching. Patterned with clouds, nine five-clawed dragons and the twelve imperial symbols. Neck and cuff edges with blue silk embroidered in silk and gold-metallic thread. Gold silk lining. Lacks bands of decoration on orange of sleeves. Sleeves cut wide in the style of the Dowager Empress Cixi's court.
