Inscriptions新田義興は竹沢右京亮江戸遠江守が姦計に欺れて矢口の渡にて亡され その志魂ととまりて 江戸が帰るさに霊魂雷になりて雲中より現れ 敵を取り殺す 後霊魂を慰めんか為に新田大明神と祟祭る その霊験今に於て倍新也

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States.
