Takenojô V died in 1851, and Takenojô VI did not succeed to the name until 1964. This actor appears to be the son of Takenojô V, called Ichimura Takematsu III at the time and later known as Bandô Kakitsu I.
大山豊次郎、山村金三郎共に明治期の版元のため、要確認。

「市村竹之丞」とあるが、元治元年十月の時点では市村竹松を乗っている。

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
