Possibly from the play Yamato Moji Iroha no Kaomise at the Kawarazaki theater in the 11th month of 1829 (Bunsei 12). The character for "Tiger" in the costume of the figure holding the sword suggests that this is a New Year surimono for the Year of the Tiger, 1830.
葛飾連の春興摺物。従者の着物に「寅」とあることから文政13年と判断。文政12年11月河原崎座「倭いろは鏡」の上演をふまえたものヵ。
