Obverse: Profile bust of Lady Liberty, looking to the proper right and wearing a cap and laureate wreath; inscribed at the edge "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE." and at the proper left "J.C./CHAPLAIN".

Reverse: A rooster at the center; inscribed across the field "20 Fcs", and in exergue "(torch mark) 1907 (mark)".
