DescriptionCircular medal of Edward Vernon, admiral of the British fleet. Coin turn.
Obverse: Standing Admiral Vernon on a platform, holding a sword in each hand with a canon at proper left and a ship at proper right; inscribed at edge in band "THE·BRITISH·GLORY·REVIV·D·BY·ADMIRAL·VERNON···".
Reverse: Robert Walpole standing at proper left with a rope around neck and being pulled by a demon in form of an upright goat at proper right, entering a hell mouth; inscribed above in band "MAKE:ROOM:FOR:SIR:ROBERT".
